How to Customize Your Own Wallpaper on Mac
Your Mac includes many photos and other images that you can use as desktop pictures to make own wallpaper on Mac. Or you can use your own. Even though there are many different kinds of default wallpapers on Mac, at most times we may want to use our own loved pictures or photos as desktop wallpaper. Luckily, OS X makes it easy to give your Mac a custom look. Before making your own wallpaper on Mac, you should transfer your beautiful photos to computer at first. After that, you can follow these methods to create your own wallpaper on Mac.
Method 1. Change your wallpaper from the Finder
Step 1. Locate the image file that you want to use from a Finder window or your desktop
Step 2. Control-click (or right-click) the file
Step 3. Choose Set Desktop Picture from the shortcut menu
Step 4. Choose Set Desktop Picture from there to create your own wallpaper on Mac
Note: If you don't see Set Desktop Picture in the shortcut menu, you should see a submenu named Services instead.
Method 2. Change Your Wallpaper from Desktop preferences
Step 1. Choose Desktop & Screen Saver and open it.
Step 2. Click on Desktop and you will find Desktop Pictures file includes much default wallpaper.
Step 3. For iPhoto file, click it you will find out all photos you imported from your iDevice to computer.
Step 4. Choose one photo you like as your wallpaper.
Note: You can create your own wallpaper on Mac by selecting the Folders that include your loved pictures and then choosing one as your desktop wallpaper. If you want to change the wallpaper on time, you should select the time in below Change Picture.
Method 3. Change Your Wallpaper from Photos
Step 1. Drag the Photos window over the desktop that you want to change if you're using multiple displays
Step 2. Control-click (or right-click) the image that you want to use
Step 3. Select Share from the shortcut menu
Step 4. Choose Set Desktop Picture from the submenu and then you will create your own wallpaper on Mac
